Two years ago, Lexus brought the very forward-looking LF-LC concept to the Detroit auto show. We've seen bits and pieces of it -- most notably, that statement-making spindle grille -- make it to production cars. But the 2015 Lexus RC F sport coupe, which is coming to Detroit this year, may come the closest to fulfilling the promise of the concept of anything we've seen so far.
There are less than two weeks left for European design students to submit their exterior entry to the Car Design News - Opel/Vauxhall Interactive Design competition. The competition, which closes to entries on Friday February 11th, asks students to design a lounge exterior, based around the design of one of the three finalists of the interior competition. Lexus has released a second teaser shot of its new concept car, set to be unveiled at next month’s Detroit auto show. This glimpse inside the Lexus sports car reveals an elegant cabin; we assume the photograph has been cropped to show just one front seat and it is in fact a two-seater. All will be revealed at the NAIAS in January 2012.
